Just signed up for a live draft for this afternoon. Don't know much if anything about it. What do I need to know?

The cards adjust slowly. The formula takes into account long term/career trends and are not super sensitive to one week or "who is hot" trends. However, that being said, one may definitely see a higher performing cards at the beginning of a season will tail off and the opposite as well. The cards themselves do not mirror the 200# yearly cards much. I personally like shopping for bargains and they are there. I also being a more active roster manager enjoy the roster adjustments that are necessary in the course of a season. Another factor is if the league is set up using the super advanced injury system or not. SOM has made some adjustments post-beta to that and has helped. IMO-- I think we need to give the game time and as it is, I certainly enjoy the variety and keeping up with the current MLB stats and trends. I salute SOM in this endeavor to keep up with the growing fantasy stat popularity.

Glad to contribute to your questions sir. Hope to see you on the league rosters.

The salaries and cards are not representable of the 2016 baseball season despite the claim.
It is biased for pitcher cards. See Ryan Dull versus Willson Conteras for example. Neil Walker's card another example.
