Beltre injured for 41 more days

Hi all:
Somehow Adrian Beltre got injured pretty bad on my team -- he's out for 41 more games. Since we've played approx. 50 games, am I wrong to think that keeping him and his approx. 8 mill dollar salary doesn't make a lot of since considering he will be out for so long and even if I keep him, his 8 million dollar salary is going to be for considerably less games than the average player. Would there be complete consensus that...
a. (this injury system is more realistic than past systems) This length of injury is not real fun to deal with as a manager.
b. I should drop Beltre and any high priced player who is out 25% of the season immediately.
My other question is me wondering if there is a certain cut-off point (relative to injuries) where I should cut anyone who ends up having an injury that will keep him sidelines for x % of the season. I imagine it depends on their cost and other factors but wondering if anyone has a formula to deal with this type of situation. Thanks for the input as hate to cut one of my favorite players but don't see keeping him as much of an option unless someone changes my mind. Have a good weekend all and good luck in your seasons.
