Can you create a league like this?

PostSat Dec 02, 2017 10:45 pm

Just was wondering if a person can create a league BELOW the standard $80 mil salary budget?? I see many many leagues with MUCH higher starting budgets, but None with Lower values. The challenge of a Lower budget appears to me like it would be a refreshing different type of challenge. Is this possible, or is $80 Mil the "lowest" a league creator could go?

Thnaks much--Nyquilizer

Yes, there is an option to fill in whatever salary you want. $60 mil is common for 24-team leagues.

I like 60M leagues with 20xx teams--If you want to start a 2016 60M 12 team league I will jump in. (you can go for odd amounts too, like 65M)--just have to make sure you have 12 on board with odd salaried leagues.

24 team leagues are fun too, but probably no shot to get that many in December.

60M is a standard choice, but takes a bit longer to drum up 12 people.

After you set up an auto draft list for a 60M team you can create a new league if you want, have to wait for 11 more to jump in--slow joining teams this time of year, but a different take can help

You can set any caps you want, whether the game engine assists you or not. For example, for the 2012 and 2013 card sets, I ran a 3-league combination in which every player in the online card set was drafted. We had caps of:
Majors: $200 mil cap
Minors: $50 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster
Instructional: $25 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster

If I recall correctly, the game engine did not support the $25 mil cap, so that was run by agreement of the managers.
