17 years playing online, never had this happen before...
Posted: Thu Apr 26, 2018 3:01 pmI've been doing this a LONG time now. It's actually hard to believe the online game has been around as long as it has. When I checked my teams this morning I saw something I've never seen before in all my years doing this. Now I usually have between 7 -12 teams going at any one time, most of those are keepers ( all of them in fact, at least until Jeep brings back his Wildcard and Give & Take leagues). I currently have 6 teams with games played, ranging from as few as 9 to as many as 114. When I looked at my teams' overview this morning I saw something that:
1. I know won't last, especially after making this post, the Strat gods are fickle afterall
2. Made me smile like I haven't in a long time
All 6 of my team, either are in, or share, 1st place in their divisions.
As I said, I've played a good long time, and I'm a decent enough manager, though not as good as I probably should be given the time, effort and expense I've poured into this endeavor over the years. But I have to say, It absolutely made me giddy this morning seeing all those 1st's under the place column. I know it won't last, but I'll savor it, after all if you can't savor the little victories in life, why bother.
