Here is a link to Chris Gimenez's real-life 2018 splits:

In 11 plate appearances vs. LHP, he had 3 walks and 1 single for a .489 OPS. No home runs.

So how does he have a 4L rated 2018 card with 7 BPHRs vs. LHP on it?

Did Gimenez bribe the people at Strat-o-Matic to make his season seem a lot better than it was with the hope that Strat-playing baseball executives would get such great performances out of his card that they would prolong his long career as a replacement-level backup major league catcher? If so, it didn't work.

Ha! Good catch. Also, he has 49 OB vs. LHP. That would appear to be OK since he had a real life OBP vs. LHP of .364.
But the extremely low PA's make that number inappropriate.

Normally, when a player has low PA's vs. one side or the other, the Strat card is dumbed down from what happened in real life. Not in this case. I hope you picked him up in your latest league because now the word is out!

That's what I thought as well. Ryan McMahon is an example of that in the 2018 set. He had a .996 OPS in 38 PAs against LHP in real-life:

No way his card reflects that!

I have been told that the slant is for power. Don't know if it fits this guys card but power is what they go with.

No power to go with for this guy.
