Crazy PH move by HAL...but it worked

Bottom of the 9th in a scoreless tie. Freeman up with 1 out runner at 1st. Hader throws wild pitch runner advances to 2nd. Hader pulled for LH Specialist Chapman. HAL decides to replace $12.10 lefty Freeman with .53 righty Encarnacion.
Luckily it was irrelevant and he drives in winning run with a gb(2B)x single.
