Game 7 of the Semis. HAL brings in my worst RP to blow it while my closer is available in the bullpen

who was set as your closer? I dont think either Karinchak or Pressly were available, and Armstrong was injured. Pressly threw 41 pitches in game 6 so he was going to sit, and Karinchak was coming off back to back games with 22 and 23 pitches. Yarborough looks like he was available but I think HAL will favor the true reliever unless specifically told differently or out of other pitchers.

Pressley was the closer, However, HAL could of brought in a SP/RP Yarborough was fully rested.

I agree he could have used Yarborough but my impression is that the new bullpen seems to favor burning through all the RP before using the SP/RP. It was a bad move on HALs part though.

Yeah, lesson learned. Tough way to lose after crawling back from a 3-1 deficit. Should of changed my SP setting for game 7

After a year of tinkering with these new bullpen settings, the only thing I seem confident of is to never carry a pitcher I dont want to see have to pitch. I believe the days of a cheap back of the bullpen guy are done.

Yep. If your fifty cent guy is a pure reliever...he's going to pitch. And when you dont want him to sometimes...

It's the leaving him in part (especially with a quick hook) that I wasn't expecting.
