Picking up a dropped player in Dyna 2000s

Hey guys - quick question - if I pick up a player that has been dropped by another team - or "re-sign" a player I dropped earlier in the season - do I get the mystery card that has already been in play in the league or is it possible to get any one of the available 5 cards for that player?

You get the same card.
