Has Bullpen Logic Changed Since December

I have played many seasons with the last one wrapping up in December and never had this issue before until new league just started.

Two games in a row in the bottom of the 9th with a one run lead, a reliever needed with a right handed batter due up.

The computer didnt use the closer who was in the top spot of the preferences. Even thou it was a closer situation, just for info, nor did it bring in the set up man who was in the second slot.

Both the closer and set up man are he same person and a right handed pitcher. Plus he was completely rested with no restrictions on his usage.

Instead the computer when down to the 4th line and brought in that pitcher who is there as they back up closer and a weaker option.

So the question is, has SOM made any changes to the logic?

I emailed SOM 365 but haven't heard back.

Thanks

I don't know, but also see scrub RP being put in despite my settings.

Hal loves putting in fifty cent piece Logan Allen in critical situations for me...

I have to double check, but I believe I had to drop Allen because I could make HAL stop putting him in all the time.

Thanks. I did find out from 365 support they did improve the bullpen since the last time my league played the ATG player pool. And the changes were positive.

"And the changes were positive."

According to who?

Positive to the part about requiring more rest in a way to cut down on over using the top relievers.

When they redid the bullpen settings they completely ruined the game. I only play the older sets or Daily sets now...

In what world can a MLB reliever only pitch in two roles?????? Seriously?? They ruined the game because a few guys didn't like so called "Super Relievers". Though these same people seem to have no problems with SUPER STARTERS who pitch 350+ innings. They also don't seem to have a problem with batters hitting 100 HRs. But somehow, relievers are different (to these people).

I don't know who was in charge of the new bullpen settings but they completely ruined the game.

Because a few guys whined about so called "Super Relievers", you have absolutely no control over your bullpen now. And worse still, SPs are pitching 350+ innings. It simply defies all logic, and it makes me sad to see the game degraded in such a way.

Correct. The innings have to be pitched by someone. Now it is starters or scrub RP. Sadly some of the influential ATG SET people screwed over the rest of us with their "Super Relievers" whining.
