I don't dive into this game as others do.
I have noticed though that Rutschman has 149 games, 572 AB and 88 walks for 660 plate appearances. This is the first catcher in my memory that will only be injured for the remainder of the game. Those that play the older sets probably know of more catchers like this. He will cost a pretty penny for that I would think. He leads one of my keepers in plate appearances.

662 after today's game. Remarkable for a catcher. That's what happens when you hit in the two hole all year.
With 6 games left he should make it to the bullet proof mark of 680. For kicks, here are the all time leaders in PA's:

Johnny Bench, 1974. I think that's the only one in the ATG9 set.

Some surprising names in that list.
Pete Rose is in the top 10 of PAs 3 times at age 32,33,34
DiMaggio is 16th...no, not that DiMaggio, it was Dom.
Marcus Semien had 724 Plate appearances in 2021 and again in 2022
Rose and Paul Molitor were both in the top 200 at age 39
Youngest guys: Ken Hubbs, Buddy Lewis, and Manny Machado (20)
Ken Hubbs, who was rookie of the year, has the highest number of plate appearances ever as a 20 year old in 1962 as a Cub--then died tragically in a private aviation crash with Denny Doyle in the 1963 off season.

680 PA are needed to be only the remainder of the game.

He plays the entire game (#162) that would not change the outcome of the playoff seedings and gets 4PA's to end up with 680 for the season. I gave him no chance of reaching 680 going into the weekend. I am blown away he made it. He is now "bullet proof" for next season.

I thought Strat didn't count them.
