I felt that F8 would help starters go longer than F1????? I have played quite a few seasons under this assumption and good starters regularly go 7-8 innnings under F8

Nope! F8 means he's just starting to get tired. If you want him to go longer than F1, you'll have to set him on F0. Then he'll stay in the game until he's exhausted (or until he gets lifted for a pinch-hitter.)

seeing the headline I want to ask Am I a idiot to think a switch hitters card says against right handed pitching will be that on the ballpark for HR? cause I know he's batting left handed on the pitching card but does HAL follow the the card with the # for the hitter? I never thought about it before but thinking about adding a player thats a switch hitter but if the # ballpark the hitters card for right hand pitching will be lefty on ballpark seeing most of the parks including mine favor right handed batters it would be dumb to add him and sorry to add something to your post, hope its accepted, not trying to step on any toes Im new to all this, Thanks,

If your switch-hitter is facing a RHP, then he's batting left-handed. Hal will use the ballpark numbers under L.
