A pretty rare feat by Vince Coleman

I've had 5 injuries to my outfielders this 86 season, so Coleman has been playing more than I've really wanted. As expected, he's doing typical Vince Coleman things: Bad Defense, low OPB, doing lots of blow, but most importantly stealing bases. But in the 9th of game 2 last night he got on via the pitcher's card (a very rare walk for him) and proceeded to steal second, third, and home before the amazed Terry Pendelton could ground out.

Interviewed after the game, Vince Responded "Well, me, Otis Nixon and Willie McGee always get together when were in Flushing and party before the game. That clubhouse dude, Santiago, always sets us up, and is a legend. So when I got on, I was ready to run, and that pitcher, who was it again, Scurry, when I was at 3rd he goes full windup! I'm like, if you're gonna give it to me, I'm gonna take it. We were only up 4-1, and if you know our bullpen, the game ain't over. (hey don't write that down...)"

lol, Dock (In the sky with Diamonds) Ellis might've been pitching, Tim Raines and Ron Leflore maybe on the bench, Ron Washington as coach, Bill Spaceman Lee doing "satellite" coverage.....one heckuva party, Harry Carey must certainly be there ;- 0
