I'm a newbie, so don't trust me

0 D.Evans 5-7 Strike Out b-0 F9 (o=no outs, hitters name, dice roll, result, what happened to the hitter, and pitcher's fatigue rating)...these will repeat below accordingly
1 S.Amoros 1-11 Walk b-1 F9 (b1 = batter on first)
SUBSTITUTION at PH: Pete Runnels (L)
1 1 P.Runnels 4-3 Walk 1-2 b-1 F8 (1-2 = the runner on first went to 2nd, b-1 = the hitter went to first, F8 the pitcher's fatigue rating decreased by 1)
SUBSTITUTION at PH: Jamie Quirk (L)
1 12 J.Quirk 1-7 Single (CF) 2-3 1-2 b-1 F0 (2-3 1-2, batter on 2nd went to 3rd, and on 1st went to 2nd, hitter on 1st, pitchers fatigue cratered to lowest possible 0)....it's at this point, if you had enough rested RPs, that the computer SHOULD have subbed your pitcher out, you have some control over that in "pitchers' preferences" settings, telling the computer when to relieve your guy, a good pitcher SP or RP is often set to a low number to keep him in game as long as possible, while the reverse, for a not-so-good pitcher, they would be yanked earlier....reasons for why this pitcher was kept in game would most likely be your other RPs got heavily used the game or last 2 game before.....it's happened to me, when the computer kept my worst RP in to get torched over and over, giving up several or many runs, when I had much better RPs in the pen, but when I checked the last game, they had been used a lot (this happens during blowouts, if the other team is crushing your pitching, the computer keeps subbing and your good RPs end up getting used in a meaningless (unwinnable) game, and then not available for next game)
1 123 C.Klein 2-6 Single (RF) 3-H 2-H 1-3 b-1 F0 (you should be able to read the results by now, 1 out, dice roll 2-6 on hitters card, the guy at 3rd and 2nd both scored "H" = home, and the pitcher's rating still zero, capable of giving up more hits than his regular card).....
1 1 3 W.Wells 4-2 Strike Out b-0 F0
SB & Error - C 3-H 1-3 F0 (somehow you got a KO), but at the same time, there seems to have been an error on catcher (3rd strike, but the batter reaches first, a la "mickey owen"), and an error, so even an out is recorded (by KO), the hitter reached first, and then due to error ended up at 3rd)
2 3 M.Mantle Wild Pitch 3-H (while Mantle was batting your catcher allowed a passed ball allowing the runner on 3rd to score)

again, some veteran should confirm this, but I'm 95% or more certain that's what happened

2 things to learn from this, if you didn't know already

the computer is an absolute merciless "b___tch"

and

you don't want to set any pitcher (in case you had) to a low remove rating, if they aren't good, conversely you want to keep any pitcher in the game as long as possible if they are good

good luck

Thanks Fred! one thing I still dont get, how did the 3rd run score? I get the winning run was a passed ball? just crazy 2 runs score ? So its just bad luck? this is post season, series was tied 2-2, was winning this game 7-4 and this happen, I'm shocked I lose this important game in this manner, think this is where Strat needs to look into why my Starters who can relief dont get used? its the playoffs? they didnt just pitch? Also lost the 1st game of the series on a grand slam in the 9th inning on a 1-3 HR with 2 outs and your SO right absolute merciless "b___tch to say the least, seeing this series should be over but Im down 3-2, its just you play all season make the dance and then Poof, Bizarro World

Wells strikes out for the second out.
Then on Mantle's at bat, the runner on first attempts to steal, the catcher makes a throwing error allowing the runner on first to get to third and the runner on third to score. Mantle's at bat continues then with a wild pitch to score the runner on third.

Yes I get that Im trying to understand how 4 runs scored? 2 on Kleins 1b hit then Kleins on 1st, Wells strikes out so how does Klein score from 1st? if its a drop 3rd strike cant run if 1st base has a runner? and then Wells end up on 3rd after striking out to score on the wild pitch only reason I wanted to know cause its game 5 series tied 2-2 and this happened botton of the 9th I was up 7-4

It's not a dropped third strike. As I said, Klein attempts to steal second and gets to third on a wild throw from catcher. He then scored on wild pitch. That's the fourth run.

Ok thanks I misread that, still wondering with 2 out why my catcher is put in the spot of throwing to 2nd with a runner on 3rd with a 2 run lead? thats odd,

welcome to HAL-ville, home of the stealing 3 with 2 outs (or home lol, although that might be a better gamble), and taking the extra base and getting thrown out while down 4 or 5 runs or so (real life MLB base coach woulda tripped the runner lol), leaving your rightly or lefty specialist in to face the opposite side hitter(s), when they're usually about as terribly poor as possible when pitching against those hitters (hence why they're called specialists), inane (really) late inning musical chairs replacements, where HAL takes out a perfectly good hitter or fielder and in the grand-old-right-and-left promenade square dance, some dufus catcher of yours ends up playing 2b, 3b, or corner OF, often at a "5" rating, because he isn't rated to play there, I'm guessing from limited observations that this mostly occurs when HAL tries his patented (but severely flawed) double switch (and if you're following the pattern) that YOU didn't call for, because the pitcher's spot is coming up in the order next inning and he wants to have a hitter already in that lineup slot....this works sometimes, but backfires like Blazing Saddles Mongo after a pot of beans, when it's one of your specialists (you don't want him staying in the game), or the bench hitter inserted isn't that much at all of an upgrade over just letting a pitcher hit

I don't think ive seen your scenario occur, or I didnt notice it, but the above happens with way too often regularity

THOSE would be some of the best fixes the extra $5 per team from next month should be paying for

Big Fred Whitfield,
So true, couldn't of said it better, I dont get the leaving a starter in pitching 10 innings and then the next game pulls him in the 2nd inning?
