GAME PLAY speed ?

this is probably an old topic around here, but I haven't seen it posted so.....

i was curious how other GMs watch/see the game results

Do you just look at the game scores ?
Do you just look at the box scores ?
Do you just look at the game play by play transcript ?

or do you in fact watch the game replay ?

if watching game replay, what speed do you watch it at ?

me personally, I watch all game replays if I have time, but sometimes need to just check scores

but when watching, I normally set it about 90% to the right, so each AB is about only a second or two....

I speed up the pace a little if the game gets slightly out of reach for either team, and if my team is getting really blown out, I often just stop watching and check the final score

also, if it's a playoff game or a get-into-the-playoffs late season game, I'll usually reduce the speed a little, to watch more closely

how about you guys ?

Pretty much the same as you. I don't watch replay on regular season games, only playoffs.

Just like you ... sometimes I quick play the other teams at bats if the game is not close.

Same thing happened to me! I usually watch replays when I have the time, but I speed through games that aren't close or when my team is out of contention.

I watch more in the beginning of the season to see if there are any strategy tweaks, lineup or bullpen changes I need to consider.

Then it's when I have time, or if I'm riding my bike in the basement. If I get blown out, I just can bring myself to watch!
