Today is a good day

PostSat Mar 01, 2025 3:04 am

I woke up today because my heart was still beating. I didn't die about a month ago as Gene Hackman did and there was nobody to find him his and wife and the dog. We are losing a mass number of mangers because we are all old. This game is fun to play, and I lose more than I win but when I win, I love it. Down by 20 games with 10 to go and I sweep is a wonderful feeling.

Want to worry about something, worry about your family and just let the dice decide your fate because the dice being delt it decides your fate in the long run. When someone is late to draft worry about them not the time it took them to draft.

We are all old and researching obituaries have become the norm hasn't it

My Dad who was clean up battlefield in the Korean War always told me if you want to worry about something worry about your health.

Good health to you and all of your loved ones and I have said that decades.

I say this because keeper leagues are about to start, and time is all what we need.

Good health to you and your loved ones it is really all that matters.

Nice thoughts, Mike. With the World sabotaging our Dad's lives (Yours in Korea....mine in 1944 Germany), the least we can do is not sabotage ourselves. I'll walk an extra 10 minutes tomorrow.

fantastic post and the epitome of the spirits of GMs here ;- )

thank you "Mike", smelling the roses and gratitude are virtues

appreciate means to increase in value
depreciate means to decrease in value

so people rarely realize when they knee-jerk say "I appreciate it", is that they are really saying

"thank you for increasing my value" ;- )

Excellent thoughts Chase. I'm 56 and just broke my monthly fast ( 2 days, used to do more ). I ruck a decent amount to support the hiking my wife likes to do ( we hit Machu Picchu in Aug ). Do yoga. My hope is to get "Benjamin Button's Disease". Taking my vitamin D daily.

I don't know the answer to this, but I wonder are we doing enough for all the keeper leagues to recruit new blood and teach the SOM trade in all its glory ( pitchers BPs, hitters BPs, small tricks, keeper league dynamics )?

A lot of the leagues have a big overlap of mgrs, when someone has to leave for health or other reasons, it can affect 4 or 5 leagues. Perhaps we should deliberately diversify the leagues?
