HAL...Quick Hook?

PostWed Oct 31, 2012 1:04 pm

This is pretty bad HAL...maybe the worst ever...I have Tincup set as a quick hook here...! He gives up 7 hits in a row, and 5 earned runs...then returns for another 3 hits and a run....then another 3 hits and 3 runs! Where's the hook?

it is either broken or he didn't want to pull him so early in the game. Did killian even throw a pitch?

All of the HAL settiings are in the nature of suggestions, not commands. When your starter goes down without retiring a hitter, HAL is going to feel the need to get innings out of your relievers, particularly if you have a typical ATG squad with a short bullpen.

what i meant was it looks like the "F" rating never fell below a 9 and it probably should have. That is what looks broken to me.

Looks broke to me too. I can see HAL picking someone to take one for the team in this situation. But that barrage should have led to him getting tired.
