Thanks for all the input . . . think I just missed the deadline for changes with Foxx, but Medwick will be in the game for sure. May have to find a better Defensive 3B to sub in for Foxx, but otherwise I'm ready to rock.

Now . . . how do I avoid this sort of problem in the future? My friends and I are forming another league with the same cap. Those guys had good stats, so how do I know how a guy will realistically do?

LOL. Avoid? One never knows what these players are going to do. BUT next time just go after Hornsby 1st pick. Raja's always good in any park on any team. Good luck. Medwick went 2 for 4. A nice start for him.

Gotcha. Yeah I actually did go for Hornsby, Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, George Brett . . . I just didn't have any luck. Gibson must have been my top pick, so at least I got him (and been enjoying that production). It's just frustrating when you see a guy with good stats, and he is as bad as Williams and Santo were for me.

Santo did his an HR in that series . . . not sure why HAL started Stahl twice though.

HAL : Haplessly Altering Lineups

I've got 6 teams going right now and 5 of them Raja is on. Dependable every time.

Have you ever played a 200m league or a live no-cap draft back when they used to have them before moving to this "awesome" site? If so, you want your offense and starting rotation to look like that. 140m is basically 200m and live with .50 bench players and less of a bullpen.

Oh and you also get no help from your home ballpark. You are giving up that advantage to the others in your league. Next go around pick a park that you can build a home field advantage around.

Oh and Hornsby isn't bad but there are certainly better choices to put #1 on your card depending on your park. At 140m, even when I want Hornsby I never put him higher than 3 or 4 and I often get him.
