Explanation Needed

A game I lost in the bottom of the 9th. Still trying to figure out on the 5-5 roll how a single and 2 runs scored when on the split it can be either a Homer 1 and flyout 2-20.

I thought that HRs without #s were interpreted straight up. But recently someone on boards corrected me and explained that a W power hitter could not get a HR off the pitcher card at all. That means if the split card was a 1 the HR result is altered to a single. This would seem to confirm the person correcting me was 100% correct and I have been 100% wrong on this all these years. :(

This doesn't make sense? I know I have had Power Hitters homer off my pitchers card. And if this is true why bother with HRs off pitchers? Let the batters earn them off their cards.

Josh Gibson hitting a HR off the pitchers card. On a 4-4 Homer 1 Flyout 2-20. Same scenario. So the Power hitter explanation doesn't hold water.

Josh Gibson is a power N. So him hitting a HR proves nothing in this regard.

Roy Smalley was a power W.

Non-power hitters cannot hit HRs off the pitcher card is what I was told and what seems verified by the results here.

Ok, I was looking at Roy Smalley Jr. My mistake.

In that case I have nothing that would make sense to me. Perhaps you might run this by online support email and see what they have to say.

Explanation from the above topic.

This had happened due to the Maximum rule "Outfield In". With the winning run on
third base and less than two outs, the computer will bring the Outfield In as
this significantly decreases the chance for the runner to score on a "flyball
B?". The trade-off is all flyA and flyB turn into SINGLE. However you are not
actually losing anything as under normal positioning these fly balls would
automatically score the run with a sacrifice fly. In this case the outfield was
in and flyball B was rolled which turned the result from a sacrifice fly to a
single.
