Are you guys suggesting that the dice rolls are fixed for certain people, or that the dice randomize function is broken?

Valen,

Getting frustrated at rolls of the dice and continuous disparaging remarks about the powers that be are two totally different things.

Robert,

I'm not suggesting anything nor would I try without any proof. Valen was just trying to point out that I sometimes am negative a well. All I can say about it is sometimes it seems to outweigh the laws of random luck.

I have complained longer and louder than anybody....but I didn't come here 10+ years ago with this attitude...I'd still like to be able just just ask a question and get an answer, with no confrontation, no escalation......but unfortunately history shows us nothing gets done in a timely fashion...and sometimes nothing gets done at all, until enough complain....trust my history here, they've brought on all the negativity themselves.

Saltman sent a complaint to the BBB and also wrote a letter to Mr. Richman...The answer was basically this "We've been in business for 50 years and quite satisfied with our success, so thanks for your input, but no thanks, it's not needed."

It's a good game that could be great...Let's hope it gets there.

Nev, thanks for sharing about Mr. Richman's reply to Salt. It just confirms exactly what I suspected about how SOM is run philosophically: I, me, mine and just take it or leave (it). The clear implication is that the only way we will be listened to is if and when their failure to do so impacts their bottom line-- like this summer when we were given the very reasonable price reduction coupled with what turned out to be hollow promises, after people complained AND stopped buying the product.

As far as the original posting on this thread, we've seen this approach before. I see no reason to engage with it other than to note the hypocrisy of whining about us as whiners -- as Valen quite appropriately noted.

And say what you want about Bernie (and no one has said more than Nev and I) but he did at least listen to us and try to give us what we wanted. That responsivity is now relegated to the "good old days" which weren't really so good but look great relative to the current experience here.
