Big Time Specialist Problems

This is for a '99 team I'm doing but figured I would post it here anyway,

On the season so far, my left handed "specialist" has faced:
17 left handed batters and
51 right handed batters

I have double and triple checked to make sure all the right settings are checked (lefty specialist, avoid RHB, quick hook, etc) yet those dont seem to work. I thought maybe there are just a larger number of right handed batters in the league, but my right handed specialist has actually faced more lefties than the left handed specialist, so I'm not using that as an excuse.
Is there something I am doing wrong? And any advice on how to handle the situation?

How about reversing your settings to see if that works. It couldn't hurt could it? Please make sure to post the results because I sure as hell haven't got a clue as to how to control the bull pen, either.
