And badjam is right, I do like humor, and use sarcasm and irony. Some get it some don't. I spent a good part of my life being serious all the time. Try not to take life so seriously now. I also like playing devil's advocate at times just to see how well someone has thought through what they espouse.

These boards would be boring if we all agreed on everything. I remember watching the movie Ghost and the woman saying I love you and he would just say ditto. Made for very short conversation. Conversations are a lot longer when there is a little disagreement and I cannot say I have ever learned very much from people who agree with me completely. It is from those who disagree and are willing to take the time to articulate their position that one learns or gives you a reason to change your mind.

Not to change the subject but just noticed badjam only has 58 posts. I could swear I remember a lot more posting history. Know all the counts started over but still seems low. And nev at 143. Seems like he too used to be more active. Then there is andycummings with 542. How did you get so far ahead? And what is it with the 65? Were there really 64 andycummings ahead of you? I always wonder when I see a number following a screen name if there is a story behind it. Curious too that I see 2 consecutive posts by andycummings and both show post count as 532. Hmm, could it be strat has a counting problem?

Could be they have a banning problem.

Interesting if they are counting the score or so of threads that were entirely deleted.

Though you must be doing something wrong as you have been stuck on 533 posts your last 3 comments.
Maybe they have a grading system and you only get credit for a post if it scores above a certain point.
