I wanted to wait to get ARod's final numbers to support his nomination as the one and only MOP. This team played in a $100 mil league in Stars park, the best of all hitting parks (19 si-19 HR) for right handed batters.
He had 30 additional at bats and still had less of everything except six more walks and (of course) 40 more strikeouts. Batting third or fourth all year, he couldn't even match his RBI or Runs totals.
Just to add insult, the team went 9-1 down the stretch and missed the playoffs by a tiebreaker. The one loss was a 4-3 game featuring an 0 for 3 performance with two double plays.
