A side question, Is it harder now, in Version ATG7 to learn and get better at this game, or when I started in ATG 2 ?
I seem to recall running out of good SS and CF in the earlier versions. Plus there were 10-15 super special players that made the difference then, remember Frank Chance at 1b etc.
I'm not sure if it's tougher to get better or tougher to figure out a strategy that consistently works--there are a lot of variables at play in the latest installment. Not that I ever had a strategy that worked very often--but still, you guys get my point.
I personally think it would be cool to inject the newer sets into ATG, since it really isn't about great teams or great individual performances like it used to be (I know it is being done some, but a broader introduction would be nice). Yadier Molina behind the dish would be a cool addition or maybe Andrew McCutchen in the outfield. Rick Ankiel's rookie year or JD Drew's monster 2001 year. Not sure how that would work, but it certainly could add something to the game--not that we need more players.
