Why does HAL . . .

PostSun Nov 10, 2013 4:44 pm

revise my lineup when there is an injury. I have backups set in Default Lineups. Leadoff hitter gets injured. Instead of putting my backup in leadoff spot the lineup gets changed. My cleanup hitter is put in leadoff spot and player I wanted in leadoff (to replace injured leadoff hitter) is put in 7th spot. Plus the number 2 hitter is put 5th spot.

Any way to be sure backup hits where I want him?

The backup list is only to get your preferred player(s) starting in the game. HAL then sets the lineup as he sees fit.

I'd rather have it work that way. For example, I have Wagner leading off, and O'Leary as backup. I want HAL to bat O'Leary 8th or 9th, not at leadoff.
