Five 20 Game Winners???

Anybody ever come close? Got a team now at the 84 game mark with 12/12/11/10/8. Once had a team with 24/22/21/19/12. Had a chance until the 12 game winner went winless in his last 11 starts. I'd call it ATG's equivalent to the PGA's 'albatross', but this has to be rarer.

Of course it's ATG7 and Dale Murray. I'm sure plenty of super reliever teams have come close. Gotta love the no DH league for its ability to neutralize the super reliever.

Ugh....103-59 and lost in the semis....painful, but typical of HAL "neutralizing" the outright favorite in the playoffs!

How so? Can you adjust the settings so PH aren't used as much? (I am new to SOM Online)

I haven't figured out how to stop those pesky pinch hitters, so I don't ever use a super reliever strategy in a no-DH league, at least for one under 100m. The key to avoiding HAL and his pinch hitting fetish seems to be to have the lead.

Pesky pinch hitters as in your pinch hitters sending your reliever to the bench when he is up to bat?

I agree with having a lead seems to dampen HALs enthusiasm for roster moves.

There's little enough control over HAL's moves, so I never play non-DH leagues.

You guys are way more successful than I to think it possible. It would require 100+ wins, which I think I have achieved once in ATG.

I have had 3 twenty game winners, and thought myself quite lucky to get that at the time!
