In my opinion, these type of "goon cards" should not be considered all time greats, and tarnish the intent of the card set

I agree 100% with this. I don't want to see teams led by Cobb and Speaker lose to teams led by All Time "Greats" Roger Freed and Hurricane Hazel.

I'd like to see those types of guys stay since they do represent some of the all time best role players. I'd hate to be in a non dh league and not have someone like Gates Brown available to pinch hit late in a game against a tough right handed pitcher. What i would like to see is some kind of season long usage based "hitter fatigue" system installed similar to the game based pitcher fatigue already in use. Salaries could than be adjusted since they would no longer be useful everyday players for the entire season.
