Filling a Live Draft League!

Just a heads up for people trying to get live drafts off the ground, once the date of the live draft has passed and it is NOT full you must change the date or else NO NEW PEOPLE CAN JOIN YOUR LEAGUE AND IT WILL NEVER FILL.

I see so many live draft leagues with dates that have passed and no new people can join these leagues, so you should change the date to sometime in the future or dissolve the league.

Maybe SOM should put out a memo about this and clear some of those leagues that are never going to fill!

If we don't know what the future date will be, there they sit.

One of them is a league I tried to get off the ground several times, and will try again.
I don't have time this week, and will be away for the weekend.
I don't want to change the date until I know when I'll be available.

If they clear the league, what happens to the teams?

Platooning doesn't work, more lineup control needed, steal settings need modified, 300 inning RPs, new cards, and a few leagues forming that won't fill is bothering you?

If you want to have ANY chance of filling that league, at least make a future date that you think would work for you, and add a note that says, draft time subject to change, stay in touch. With the date having passed on you, NO NEW players can join. For instance if Saturdays are usually a good day for you, set the draft for two or three Saturdays from now.

I can't look 2 weeks ahead to plan a draft.

IMO, I'd rather leave the league there idle a few weeks, it's not really bothering anyone, and then pick another time and try to make a go of it, instead of guessing a data and time and then change it after folks have already joined and planned the time.

As far as the league not filling, that's the desired outcome for now. If anyone wants to start a draft, this league isn't in the way. Several live drafts have happened while I've tried several different dates for this, no harm done. I completely understand no one can join the league.
