It appears that policy has been modified greatly in the intervening months and criticism (as long as it's not personal or profane) is now again allowed. Just my opinion, of course, but it really seems that way. Hasn't really helped restore the forums to what they once were (where, every evening, you could look forward to cogent and interesting discussions), but at least the hard hand that cut off a lot of the debate is nowhere near as prevalent.

Thanks Salty (and Joni Mitchell) you and Tom have reminded me that we all love the game but the online community is probably more important. Things have improved recently. As Tom pointed out, a year or two ago I would have been excommunicated for daring to point out that the emperor has no clothes. Or maybe, like the Grinch, my heart has grown three sizes this day.

What we all pointed out was true--
wouldn't back off of anything we said about what and how it happened.

However, there has been a loosening of the proverbial muzzle.

The Joni Mitchell quote I think is also accurate in that we won't ever have the same great banter on the forums that we used to have- a decent bunch of passionate people (with a few exceptions) who would fight over weather Oil Can Boyd's quotes were poigniant or self-absorbed.

We've all stated that we want more than 20 cards a few times a year--
some have suggested game improvements, atg9 and more cards.

Lets see if the responsiveness has improved.

All good stuff guys, I hope someone at SOM is reading your posts...

Lanier64, I am happy they finally got that straightened out for you! Waiting so long for something that is so simple can be stressful. Good luck to you guys in your coming leagues!
