Can you help this last place team?

I wonder how many of you would have stayed silent if Petrosian or the Last Druid insulted your job, parents and record from 20 years ago (all very personal insults)? Druid prides himself on being smarter than everyone else and if he can dish it out (and boy can he) he can certainly take me posting one of his last place teams.

I would like to thank everyone who has made public and private statements of support believe me when I say I am not alone in having problems from this very personal internet bully. But I especially want to thank gkhd11a, I wish I could buy you a beer.

I can tell you doesn't feel good having a person whom you previously looked up to (yes I used to think The Last Druid was a cool guy, boy was I wrong) post the most personal things about you on a fake sports forum. And what hurt even more so is the people who actually took the bully's side and somehow equate me posting one of his last place teams on line to insulting my parents, my profession, my record from two decades ago, my intellect and so on...

Well don't thank me too much because I also do not believe what you did here on this thread was correct, it would help if Strat actually enforced their forum rules rather than allow personal insults to occur instead of baseball discussions. They do have pretty clear forum discussion rules.

I can't see what Valen and many of the others wrote as I determined that this kind of hate and hypocrisy is not worth reading and blocked those posters.

But I did see one thing Valen wrote because it was repeated. I did not tell Druid much, he must have done some research. I will never be shamed or cowed , I am proud of who I am and I am no anonymous internet bully like Druid and some of his supporters.

Valen, if you are ashamed or too scared to use your real name that is your deal but I am proud of whom I am and I stand behind the things I write and say. And there is nothing here I would not say to the face of the person I am addressing. I doubt many of the haters and people who pile on can say the same.

If you are a person who thinks it is okay to hurl personal insults about a person's intellect, profession, past, family etc or a person who defends such behavior you are not a person worth associating with or even reading.

Perhaps my reading comprehension skills have greatly diminished, but I don't recall anyone here defending the use of insults; what I have read are comments by several veteran players who have tried politely to convince you that your thread here was inappropriate. Those thoughtful remarks have apparently fallen upon deaf ears.

How have any of your comments - or your actions such as blocking people - mitigated any emotional pain you claim to have suffered? Dragging a private conversation into a public forum is both unwise and distasteful. I suggest you re-read your own posts; you claim someone has insulted you, yet one phrase later you claim anyone who offers a dissenting opinion is "not worth associating with or even reading."

It seems the old maxim, "hypocrisy is the tribute vice pays to virtue" fits in here.

Yes but mrharryc, everything you say is true yet when Last Druid was bringing up items about Radagast Brown's criminal past why was no one willing to say "Hey this isn't right!" But as soon as a team is posted to embarrass the LAST DRUID, it gets everyone's attention as a serious breach of internet etiquette and people trying to "Help" Radagast Brown respond correctly. Don't get me wrong as to I think this thread was not a good idea but Strat should be enforcing their forum rules, because obviously the members seem to take sides with the more powerful of the members. And I do not think reminding someone of how the internet works or how a person acts for proper behavior while ignoring the equally or perhaps even more vile treatment he received is really "just trying to be helpful for the future" -----it is treating an adult as a child.

truth. i for one was not aware of any posts regarding anyone's (mr. brown's) past (i was away from strat for 6 months and must of missed it), and yes that is totally uncalled for. i only asked why he was posting a link to druids team because i knew that was sort of against the unspoken rules. as well as being a little confused by the original post here. looks like one of those situations where everyone involved was wrong.

Im going to bypass all of the sillyness about taking sides based on who is more 'powerful' b/c thats just absolute perception bias.

Clearly Valen was giving an answer to be helpful- and in a pretty compassionate tone imo.

Its a bit ridiculous/self-serving/close-minded etc. to turn on him and block him with an angry response simply because he doesn't just agree with everything that another person says.

What hypocrisy? I have said you were wrong to start this thread posting someone else's team. I have never done that either so either you do not understand what hypocrisy means or you are just throwing out hate words in retaliation for someone not agreeing with you.

I always find it humorous when people announce they have you blocked and then turn around and make a statement directed right at you. As far as being ashamed of my past nothing there. Never been arrested or run in to legal trouble. Did have some ID theft problems, now hopefully straightened out. I do consider it unwise to broadcast information over the internet that makes it easier for someone to investigate you. There are many reasons including the possibility you could end up with an online stalker becoming a real life stalker. There are a lot of people on internet with low values.

Nothing wrong with your comprehension skills. Absolutely NOBODY in this thread has defended anyone for using insults or posting personal information about someone else. And there has been no hate directed against Radagast. For him and his friends to twist what has been said is flat out wrong.

I cannot speak for anyone but myself on this one. I vaguely remember reading a comment by Druid in a thread that was started by Radagast for purpose of taking a private disagreement with Druid public in an poorly disguised attempt to influence public opinion against Druid. When Druid retaliated frankly I took it as trash talking in response to trash talking. And frankly until Radagast confirmed it did not give it credibility and thus not worthy of response.

I have only been trying to help Radagast because I thought he might be open minded enough to be willing to accept well meaning advice. Clearly I was wrong. My mistake and I will immediately stop. I try to help my friends. Foes I try to avoid confronting because there is nothing to gain until they wise up.

Sorry Radagast you were not mature enough to handle some constructive criticism or well intended advice. Now that I know more about you I will cease.
