overcome his poor fielding at 2nb, a lousy 3/32, with his bat in a power park? #hr's rated at 17 or better?

Well he didn't make any errors but............In the spirit of full disclosure he was the DH the whole season.

Not a full season here, but he's never lacked for run production in RH or both sides homer parks for me, bang for the buck wise.

I've had good luck with him as a DH twice, haven't had the stones to use him at 2B yet though.

One of the best values in the game $$ vs production in HR friendly park. Has hit 40-50 HR for me many times.

Fielding Schmielding ...

I used him as a full time 2B a couple times. Took years off my life. This one was particularly painful.

28 HRs in Polo 41 with 40 errors and a .281 OBP, .681 OPS.

Here's how he hit:

Here's how he fielded:

My conclusion? If your overall team defence is above average, you can carry his glove. On the above team, the combination of him and Stephens hurt.

BTW - I built this team to set the all-time 100 Mil HR record and it did with 638. Defense was secondary.

Here are a few of his better seasons for me:

http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1408179

http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1413449

http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1414736 (great season for $2.45)

Disclaimer ... In going through my teams, I do see he put up a few "klinkers" as well, but more good seasons than bad for the price.
