I'm in that league, with a team from the 80s. One of the difficulties of it is selecting a park from your decade, and I have but ONE--Royals '80. Now, I COULD go for speed merchants everywhere, but no...not...I just drafted an all star team, and am going to pray.
Draft note: I didn't get Clemens in the AD because someone inadvertently took him, thinking they were drafting 90s when they were supposed to be doing 70s. Screwed over the 90s manager, too. Now we both have to wait to pounce on him after waivers. After Rocket, my best RH option is Sabes, unless I want to go with 3 lefties and pick up Fernando's 3R card.
Other musings: I'm not sure the 2010/NeL is an automatic, but they're going to be really good. Thing is, though, in sky's the limit leagues like this one, every team has great pitching. My best bet is that my team is versatile enough to win in various ways. I've got speed and Defense (well, everyone will), but there really isn't a huge bomber in the mix (50+ HR's). The pen is pretty good--and I'll bet they get used a lot.
