[quote="andycummings65"]OPS+ adjusts OPS by ballparks and against the League OPS that season.
Can you guess the highest OPS+ for each decade?
I made it easier and got the most obvious player out of the way. Some are easy, some may require some thought.............
1900-1909 - (205 OPS+) Honus Wagner?
1910-1919 - Babe Ruth 1919 (217 OPS+)
1920-1929 - Babe Ruth 1920 (255 OPS+)
1930-1939 - Babe Ruth 1931 (218 OPS+)
1940-1949 - (235 OPS+) Ted Williams?
1950-1959 - (233 OPS+) Duke Snider?
1960-1969 - (209 OPS+) Willie McCovey?
1970-1979 - (199 OPS+) Willie Stargell?
1980-1989 - (203 OPS+) George Brett?
1990-1999 - (216 OPS+) Mark McGwire?
2000-2009 - (268 OPS+) Albert Pujols?
2010-2016 - (198 OPS+) Paul Goldschmidt?
Disclosure: My guesses were greatly aided by the Strat-O-Matic player information available for each time period and not based solely on my own (limited) baseball statistical knowledge. Looking forward to seeing the correct answers from the knowledgeable baseball statisticians here.
