A great ressource to see all-time rosters is on the mlb website:
http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/col/history/players.jsp

Just be careful though, some outfielders are in the "outfield" category, others (mostly recent) in their primary outfield position.

Just food for thoughts, but when I considered the Rockies (but dismissed the option by lack of courage!!), I considered using the 8.49M Saberhagen as the lone *SP and fulfill the rotation with Fassero, the 6.3M Oswalt, Henry, and 2.38 Greg Harris card. I used Harris a few times (in 80M) and had great success with him, I find him quite a cheap card for the (relative) quality.

I was contemplating the idea of carrying 6 relievers, just to make sure I had enough pitching for those 10-9...actually make it 17-15 games. So in addition to your 3 pure relievers, I was planning to use Knudsen as my mop-up guy, Witasick
as my middle man and Tim Scott (nice cheap card at 1.06M) as a specialist, #3 guy.

Offensively, I believe I had HoJo (7.03M) and Sandy Alomar (5.75M) as starters to fill up the 100M roster. I was not carrying Castilla. Otherwise, I had the same players as you do, except that I was planning to use Murphy's 6.93M, which would make sense to strengthen the lineup against lefties (he's 5L). That gave me a roster of 99.93M

How about Miguel Tejada at SS for Houston. Better hitter and better D than Dickie MARA-Thon.

Here is a Houston team in a $85MM Cap Theme. No Hitters or SP's over $8.5MM and RP's over $4MM.

Downgrade Hobbie for Madden. Use Madden as another HARD LHP in the pen. Then Upgrade Thon to Tejada. That should work.

Frank--
thanks for the input. got IROD in waivers.
had already planned to make a play for Tejeda. was sure A's were going to nab him, forgot that Garciaparra played there....

Have both Lofton and Cesar Cedeno for CF, have few LH bats on the team, so I will go with Lofton.
Still have plenty of RH bats for Minute Maid with Irod, Bagwell, Biggio, Tejeda, Wynn, Bell.
really thought about freeing up some cash and keeping Cedeno in CF, and getting Nevin to play 3B---now that would be some RH power.....
