defense out of position question

I cant remember this one, and I cant seem to find a rule anywhere about it. I know that there is a chart to adjust outfielders for playing out of position, but I thought shortstops also could play out of position without going all the way to a 5 rating. However, I cant find that anywhere, so not sure if it is correct or something erroneous just stuck in my head.

I am hoping someone remembers that rule clearly, or can tell me I am wrong.

The OF part of this is on Pg. 17 of the rule book, BUT I have NEVER heard of SOM blessing the SS part of your question.

For my nickel, SS are no better (out of position) than any one else.
