Joe Cronin ???

I went to a minor league baseball game in Lakeland FL tonight, and the starting right fielder for the Ft Myers (Twins affiliate) team was named Joe Cronin. On his Baseball America bio it says he was born in Connecticut and went to school at Boston College, so a connection to another Red Sox Hall of Famer of the same name is a possibility. Does anyone here know for sure? Just curious ...

Seems unlikely. His bio from Boston College doesn't mention it, and it seems like they wouldn't have missed a PR opportunity like that. And by his age, he would be at least a great-grandson who had never met his great grandfather.
