I missed the previous league with these parameters, so trying it again! The high salary leagues have always been disappointing when the $10 million starters unrealistically get hammered for 5 ERAs while the Bonds' and Ruth's of the Strat world still hit 70 home runs. So this league should highlight good pitching, perhaps defense, and maybe some of the infrequently used cards. This is a $120 million league, NO DESIGNED HITTER, with twists. There is no salary cap on pitchers, all are available. However, in your draft list, you are LIMITED to hitters with a salary of $6 million or less. Call it the Felipe Alou Rule, since he's at the top of the $6 million or less list! If in drafting HAL gives you a substitute player over $6 million in the auto draft you must drop him immediately. Also, there is a hitters' twist. In the ensuing free agent draft, if you have enough left over cash, you may draft ONE AND ONLY ONE hitter with a salary of up to $8 million. Remember, this $8 million player may only be added in the waivers portion. However, pick up that player wisely. If he turns out to be a dud and you decide to drop him, he may only be replace by a less than $6 million player. Hopefully, this league will make Cy Young proud again!
