I remember Palmer well, and I think he was a great pitcher. I thought it might help explain why his numbers don't translate all that well to Strat.

I think people tend for forget that Belanger was basically Ozzie before Ozzie came along.

As an Orioles fan, I wish there was a better Jim Palmer card, but I recall an article in Baseball Prospectus by Jay Jaffe (originator of the JAWS scoring system for evaluating career performance), where he pointed out that Palmer got more help from his defense than any other pitcher in the history of major league baseball.
