We'll draft the franchises, here. One franchise from Post and one from Expansion; serpentine (1 - 12, 12 - 1). Post or Exp can be taken in 1st round. Nel CANNOT be selected as a Franchise.
For ballparks, I'm less concerned except I am not a fan of the min-maxing with extreme ballparks of any sort. I'm open to suggestions. One idea I had was every manager has to pick one of the following four ballparks: Arlington 78 (7s and 5s), Turner 05 (all 8s), Kauffman 99 (10s and 11s), or Rogers 05 (11s and 13s). That's a mix of less or more HRs with no extremes. Again, I am open to ideas.
Once we have 12 managers, we'll figure out a randomizer for selecting draft order (Somebody please tell me the best way to do that). No time limit for making franchise picks (if you disappear entirely without notice, you will be replaced in the established draft order).
Yankees Post and Exp can't be taken as Franchises and Yankee only players will not be available for waivers or as free agents at any time (No Mantle, etc).
Negro League players aren't handled properly in the post-WW2 card set. There are many from before WW2. Nevertheless, they are in the card set and can be taken during waivers and free agency. EXCEPT - if a manager selects Cleveland - Post; Satchel Paige will belong to them, only. I don't think any other Nel player has another non-Nel card in the card set.
Your players must have a card in the card set for your franchise, though, you can use any of their cards on your team including Yankee cards. Any / all Nel cards can be used with the exception of Satchel Paige if a manager takes the Cleveland - Post franchise. Again, there won't be any Yankees only players eligible at any time. For waivers and free agency during the season, you can only pick up your own franchise players or players from a franchise that wasn't selected during the franchise draft. This is strict; a player with cards for both a selected franchise and an unselected franchise is NOT available during waivers or free agency to any team except the team who selected that franchise.
In keeping with the strictness of the eligibility rules, there are no trades except for players a team has rights to (your own franchises or unselected franchises only). Trades are possible. But, it is also possible they won't be practical.
Yankee only players are never available at any time. Mantle, NO! ARod, yes for the manager who takes Texas or Seattle. If Texas and Seattle are both selected as franchises, they will have to compete for ARod.
Put your Franchise names in your team name during the draft and before the season begins. After the season begins, you can change your team name. I will be the Liverpool Clowns after the season begins.

I am open to rule changes while were getting the draft set up. Now is the time. And, remember, I am interested in the best way of randomizing our draft order.
