I don't understand

Raise the prices of hitters
Raise the prices of pitchers
Require more relieve pitchers
Sounds to me that the only thing accomplished was the elimination of lower salary cap leagues

Prices for both stayed approximately the same across the card set.

As a novice at this, I see

Raise the price of highly used hitters, but lower the lesser used ones
Raise the price of highly used pitchers and lower the prices of lesser used ones

end result players must adjust their formula for victory

End result is I need more cash for a bullpen
A guy like Claude Rossman could chew gum and pee at the same time, so he gets a .29 bump.
A guy like Bill Abstein could chew gum and pee at the same time, so he gets a .21 bump.
End result, weaker benches
