One of the things I am looking forward to is the establishment of official stats for the negro leagues.

In this video Stearnes is credited with 176 HRs. Baseball-reference credits him with 202 but also has odd duplication of numbers for seasons like 1937. They also do not include a games played number. Hard for me to take what they have serious without that. The PA, AB, etc had to come from some sort of boxscore and if you could get stats from that boxscore you should also be able to get a date of the game and know how many boxscores you pulled the stats from. It should be a simple formula, 1 boxscore = 1 game played.

There is something else I hope someone can shed light on. Under the level column they list NgM which I guess means Negro League Majors. Anyone with actual knowledge able to shed some light on how close that guess is? There is also an entry for Non and some entries for NgM-Non. What do those stand for?

Anyway, here is a link to the video.
