Well, possibly. That was the outcome of the real life recent example Charlie/gkhd11a posted earlier from Javy Baez groundball to 3rd with 2 outs that ended up scoring a run and getting the batter to second. Why the 1B didn't step on first and end the inning without a run, a hit, or an error, is beyond me for someone who is paid to play 1B in MLB. Truly pathetic.
