Long time reader, first time poster. Here is my 103 win team in an ATG 9 All Eras $140M cap league.
103 win team - ATG 9 All Eras $140M cap: https://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1716878
Offense highlights
- I chose Minute Maid Park 2005 for the righty power and structured my team in alignment with the ballpark.
- 332 HR's including 4 players with 50+ HR's; 2 players with 35+ HR's; and 1 player with 25 HR's.
- 279 doubles
- 109 SB's
- 171 baserunning advances
- 79.1% of AB's were against RHP.
Players
- Adrian Beltre (2004) outperformed the 7.38M price tag and delivered an insane 66 HR's; 125 R's; 166 RBI's. Beltre did not win league MVP, Sammy Sosa (2001) had 85 HR's; 168 R's; and 191 RBI's (incredible!).
- Mookie Betts (2018) had 143 R's and 133 RBI's. Also went 59/60 on defensive plays in RF. I was surprised by Mookie's ability to hit RHP given the 3L BAL. He crushed from the 2 spot.
- Frank Thomas (1994) had 127 R's and 129 RBI's and never gets injured. This card is consistent.
- Billy Hamilton (1894) batted 9th (against RHP) and had as many BB's as Frank Thomas at 119 (tied 5th). Ole Billy Hamilton also had 98 R's.
- Jose Altuve (2017) batted leadoff (against RHP) and scored 122 R's and 110 RBI's.
- Hank Aaron (1971), Alex Rodriguez (2005), Albert Belle (1994) all had 100+ R's.
Pitching & Defense
- 17 blown saves (league leading).
- Defensive avg at .987 and 74 errors (league leading).
- Mariano Rivera (2008) had 33 saves (league leading).
- John Rocker (1999) had the best OAVG (.189 - L's) and (.209 - R's).
Thoughts? Feedback? Questions? Anything about my team? Hoping to discuss and share ideas with you all.
