The only comparisons that truly make sense are players to their peers. So much changes across eras. Yes the 1800s obviously had different rules but there were still some players who were better and some players who were worse, within those rules. I can't fathom what the complaint is about using players from the entire glorious 150 year history of the sport. No one is saying anything about how Candy Cummings would actually perform if you brought him into a real 2023 MLB game. The ATG game is a fantasy, that's the entire point.

No I want those cards added? Where did I complain of too many cards? I am advocating for more, there are so many possibilities. Here perhaps we can get Bugs Bunny! https://twitter.com/Super70sSports/stat ... 2784786914
Next Card Batch.... John Beckwith 1925 Baltimore Black Sox Satchel Paige 1934 Pittsburgh Crawfords Josh Gibson 1943 Homestead Grays Oscar Charleston 1921,1924,1925 which are his three best years. Just saying. C'mon.

It would be so cool if we were able to nominate some of these cards and other great negro leaguers. I know it’s not practical but would be nice.
