The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

PostSun Mar 16, 2025 8:38 am

The Good: 11 of my last 18 teams have made the playoffs. Every team had somewhere between 85-97 wins.

The Bad: ZERO Rings among those 11 playoff teams.

The Ugly: Only 2 of the 11 teams even advanced to the Finals (with a 7 straight team Semi-Finals losing streak sandwiched in there).

OUCH!   :? :o

I think the most surprising fact is that only 11 of those teams made playoffs....you're way too good of a GM, i'd have expected more of those teams to have made playoffs

It's getting uglier if that's even possible.

14 of last 22 have made the playoffs, still no rings but I did make the finals with 3 teams in the past week and lost them all.

One of the teams that just lost had a league best 103 wins and a personal best PLUS 412 Run Differential.

I think HAL is sending me a message.

On the bright side, I've got 3 more playoff teams going right now, so I can keep adding to my futility streak.

misery loves company, unless it's its own ;- (

I have 8 current teams.....and albeit a short history, a .530 winning % overall and 22 of 30 teams qualifying for playoffs (completed already)....so, the current 8 teams, arguably shouldn't ALL be doing shitty

here is the breakdown over the past few weeks of these currently ongoing teams:

Johnny come lately 4-11 (in last 15 games)
Jefferson 14-21 (in last 35 games)
Loogies 12-19 (in last 31 games)
Wacky 3-5 (in last 8 games)
Neal 6-17 (in last 23 games)
Brlycream 3-9 (in last 12 games)
Biggus 2-6 (in last 8 games)
44-88 (cumulative total record) .333 winning (losing) %

the 4 teams completed before these 8, finished their seasons with these records

Billy Jack 9-14 finished
Sluggo 10-10 finished
Crazy 6-7 finished
Rebs 6-12 finished

meaning NOT ONE (Insert expletive of choice, mine starts with “F”) TEAM out of TWELVE (12) teams played over .500

that isn’t coincidence, that isn’t a common denominator, that isn’t even an outlier

ALL TWELVE TEAMS PLAYED UNDER .500 ???????????????????

really, they are ALL that shitty ??????

no, the teams arent, the GM isn’t……

it’s just what happens when a FAULTY COMPUTER and PROGRAMMERS decides who wins or loses

I feel for you sweet, seems like “no GM is an island” when it comes to HAL rape jobs

Surprised you are still playing given your opinion of the game.

if you're talking about me, it's only playing out the already paid for and otherwise won credits

on my last one right now, that team has 130 games to go....

if you read any other posts, you'll see my opinion isn't a solitary one, but rather much more common sentiment than your reply would indicate

although I admit, my comments/posts could get lost in the multitude of posts praising the HAL/computer system, in game computer management, and all other anomalies people love and rave about (sic)
