with all due respect, I don't see how knowing the order makes such a "huge" difference
you can already see the full draft results...so you know the team drafted those players....of course, some might be HAL replacement picks when your ranked guy got picked before by another team...but you can estimate how much of a draft list each team received by the post-draft waiver rankings (in order of who got the least amount of players requested)
additionally, you can guess where some of the players were probably ranked, for example the popular platoon guys, or other faves among many GMs, etc....and realize they were probably highly ranked, whereas other players you could assume weren't necessarily ranked so high, but still ended up on that team, and was probably one of their draft picks
thus, if there was the definitive list available in one league, and the exact same draft cloned occurred in another, and just by the estimation above, it would be argued that anyone could estimate 75% or more of the probable draft order that GM used to create that team
thus, the difference in what we can already do, and the "full transparency" is likely only about an average of a few players total for each team (that other GMs might have gotten wrong about where the GM in question ranked his guys)
seems for such a small difference, there's a lot of discussion or concern about it
not judging any one or their perspective, just adding the above, if it wasn't readily apparent
