Ah, yes, the old Reverserooni. A classic!! One of the most effective strategies to ward off HAL's depredations, indeed.

In addition to the ol' reversosity maneuver, here are my top five secrets for tricking or freezing out HAL:

1: Put a sports jersey which include letters "H" "A" and "L," they need not be consecutive, into the freezer.

2: Regularly compliment (in the forums, and also in daily life) Strat-O--Matic, their business model, their responsiveness and especially praise HAL.

3: Do NOT criticize "HAL" and instead damn his evil triplet brothers, "Lore" and "Lah."

4: Do not check your results on an odd hour, only even ones. Probably EVERYone knows that, I feel silly even mentioning it.

5: Only buy credits when they are not on sale. Everyone probably knows by now that the credits they give out on sale are stale and cursed. By cursed I mean they show great promise...at first. These credits are like starting pitchers with endurance of 4 or, at best, 5. They tire and then your season falls apart in a shitstorm.

Sound advice right there ... And explains a lot since I've been doing the opposite of every one of them.

I [ HAL ] won my first ring after 18 seasons [ 7 of those lost in the finals with home field advantage ] and in that league a 105 Win team lost in the semi's so the curse is alive and well...lol...won't be picking a new teams for the forseeable future

And somehow it worked as my team won the first 3 games of the series (technically another 3 game sweep if you ask me) and then won the series in 5 games.

The 107 WIN CURSE STRIKES AGAIN.
