failing point(s) of this team

My .02 is paying 7 million to kelly to sit on the bench was a waste. And too much spent on bullpen.
I would have used that cash to upgrade to stud starting pitchers.
And I am not a fan of Gwynn. Don't know if he was available, but I love Ichiro in RF for small ball.
Or go with an old favorite, Bob Muesel. Lots of doubles and a -5 throwing arm.
Lots of other guys love 3 big throwing arms in the outfield when assembling small ball teams. You have to stop other teams from taking the extra base.

Like daniel said....too much spent on bullpen....about $10 million too much. And it's tough to win playing smallball at $140 million. Disappointing, but true.
