ATG Pitcher Card Addition Poll

PostFri Dec 14, 2012 1:32 pm

As promised, here is the pitcher survey:

There haven't been that many requests so I filled in the survey with the remaining Cy Young winners and various intriguing seasons. Please give me feedback (and requests for the next time).

I know at least 90% of users prefer a 4-man rotation, but there are a few like myself that like to employ the 5-man rotation on a regular basis. There seems to be a disproportionate number of "ace" SP* pitchers priced 9 million or more (about 55) compared to only 6 at an equivalent price of 7.2 million or more. Is there any way to tell which ones of these would be non-* SPs with a projected salary > $7 million? Is so, they would be at the top of my list needing attention.

Looking very, very quickly, it seems that five pitchers would qualify for non* status: Ferdie Schupp, Fred Anderson, Fred Beebe, Nelson Briles, and Sherry Smith. Maybe Ferdie Schupp reaches $7 mil...The others probably not.

Maybe a three man rotation for pre-1890 pitchers. Some of those guys on the list had no trouble passing 500 innings.

Me, I would love to see a Jim Bouton card ... and yes, I loved the book. It is fun using our favorite players sometimes...

Same result as I posted in the hitter's thread. Also, same type of vote - all generic cards as very unimportant and all pre-1900 and super-advanced cards as important or very important.

1937 Monty Stratton card would be nice. All Star season before his hunting accident
