Yep, and whip is a much more important stat than ERA in my opinion.

Probably the dream of all pitchers to face only hitters who do not mean to score. I can see where that could lead to more shutouts.

RISP =Runners in scoring position. I've only seen it in terms of hitters not pitchers.

Wonder why that is? With all the super fancy stats floating around these days you would think someone might consider publishing stats on how pitchers do when bases are empty verses man on first verses men in scoring position. To me that is a more important stat than FIP or many of the other sabr stats relating to pitching. Of course it would be a verifiable stat that one would have trouble copywriting or touting as the stat you created to show how much smarter you are than everyone else.

I don't know the criteria, I think they call it Pressure Situations.

Like after the 7th inning, close game. Which could mean tied, or tying or winning run at the plate or on base.

These days if they only did stats after the 7th inning only relievers would be included.
