Four Players, Four Eras League Drafting, Moved to ILC

PostSun Feb 23, 2020 9:38 am

Kinda bored, so seeing if there’s interest in another round of this theme. For those who’ve played before, I’ve tweaked a couple of things.

This is a 4 Season campaign, featuring 1 keeper player from each era, and a keeper ballpark
12 team League
Season 1 - $120 DH
Season 2 - $130 DH
Season 3 - $140 DH
Season 4 - $150 DH

The eras are:
Deadball: Every card up to and including 1919
Pre-war: 1920-1946
Post-war: 1947-1976
Expansion: 1977-Present.
NEL players and ballparks are assigned to the Pre-war era.

I know these eras deviate from the Strat definitions. My reasoning is:
— not wanting the 1920 Babe Ruth card to count as Deadball.
—Strat’s Post War is lacking in some areas. And there was expansion in 1977, so I’m not messing with history.

Here’s how it works:
Prior to Season 1, we will conduct a 4 round snake draft in the ILC board. Draft order will be determined by randomizer. Over the course of the draft, each owner will choose one player from each era. When drafting, the owner will specify which specific player card, and which era it's filling. The 4 cards taken cannot be dropped and/or traded or changed to a different year during the entire 4 season campaign. You don't have to fill your era requirement in any particular order.

In Round 4, each owner will also choose a ballpark. THE BALLPARK MUST BE FROM THE SAME ERA AS YOUR 4TH ROUND PLAYER.

Once the 4 Round draft is concluded, teams will be filled via Auto Draft, in which each owner will be allowed to draft ANY 21 supplemental players from ANY era, without restriction.
Each owner must draft and keep ALL 4 franchise players + Stadium for ALL 4 seasons. If Brett's 10.93 card is your keeper, you can't draft the 6.15 card and then change in Waivers. You may not drop a keepr card at any time, even if it's just to make another transaction. The franchise players will be listed 22-25 on draft card.

Duplicate stadiums are allowed, but have to be different years. You can't use Shibe '41 AL, if someone is already using Shibe '41 NL.

After each season we will realign the divisions. The 4 playoff teams will be together in 1 division, then the next 4 teams with the highest records, then the final 4 teams with the lowest wins will make up the last division. This way we will get 2 different teams in the playoffs each season after season 1.

A number of us have done several 4 season campaigns and it is quite fun, unique and even competitive.

Looking for owners that are willing to make an 8 month or so commitment and for the initial 4 round draft to stay on top of the draft so that we can complete it in about a week’s time. If this sounds like your cup of tea, please don't hesitate. Just copy and paste the sign up list in your response.
Any questions just ask.
